Health & Safety Graduate
Position: Health & Safety Graduate (Operational Wind & Solar)
We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified applicants to fill the position of Health & Safety Graduate for operational wind and solar farms. This role is based in our office in Dublin 18, with some working from home, and also involves travelling to sites all over Ireland. This role is open to recent graduates of recognised 3rd level health and safety courses (e.g. IOSH accredited) and will suit applicants with a strong interest in renewable energy. Knowledge of wind farms, solar farms, or electrical maintenance is desirable. While the core of the role is health and safety, we are looking for flexible candidates who are willing to get involved in a variety of aspects of the industry.

Job Summary:

The role involves discharging the health and safety obligations of the site owners by:

Controlling and managing site access (using specialised software)

Monitoring health and safety on site (both remotely and through onsite inspections)

Writing and reviewing health and safety documentation.

Detailed Job Description:
The role is varied and there will be scope for the successful applicant to get involved in many aspects of wind and solar farm management.
Duties will include:

Discharging the health and safety obligations of the site owner through the application of site safety rules and procedures.

Controlling access to sites using an online induction and attendance monitoring software system.

Ensuring all personnel engaged with works on site have completed online safety inductions and are competent to complete their works.

Updating health and safety documentation, including site safety files, statutory inspection records, maintenance records and records of any notable incidents on site.

Reviewing approved work procedures, method statements, risk assessments and other safety documentation submitted by contractors.

Continuously improving health and safety rules and procedures to ensure that they meet best practice in the industry as it evolves.

Scheduled and unscheduled site visits throughout Ireland to complete inspections, prepare site audit reports and deal with other matters as they arise.

Provision of reports to clients and other stakeholders. Assisting the construction team from time to time regarding health and safety matters.

Answering a broad range of queries regarding sites by phone, email etc. Any other activities reasonably requested by management.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

A third level (or equivalent) qualification in health and safety is required since this is a graduate H&S role.

Ability to communicate fluently and effectively in both written and spoken English is required.

Effective use of standard office software is essential.

Full clean driving licence is required and own car is preferred.

Right to work in Ireland is required.
Salary:

€38,000 - €42,000 depending on suitability for the role.
