Site Overview

Located in Co. Wexford, Graigue Beg Lower Solar Farm is being developed within the townland of Graigue Beg. The site is approximately 2 km from Bunclody which lies west of the site. 4.2.2 The site is divided in two sections by the local road which passes centrally through the development. The land to the west of the road consists of agricultural land used for the production of arable crops and the eastern section is split between arable crops and improved grassland for the grazing of sheep. The Solar Farm will be situated on shallow sloping land at an approximate elevation of 50-75m AOD.

Planning permission for this site was granted by An Bord Pleanala in 2018 and includes for 15 No. Conditions. The grant includes for include one single storey electrical substation building, electrical transformer/inverter station modules, solar PV panels ground mounted on steel support structures, access roads, fencing and associated electrical cabling, ducting and ancillary infrastructure.

The site is proximate to existing electrical infrastructure and the current grid connection point is projected as the Bunclody 38kV substation local to the site.

This solar farm is being developed by Highfield Energy as part of our broader commitment to a sustainable future.
